A system enhancement which, over time, will allow hotels to personalize offers to guests and increase owner performance by unlocking the value hidden in rooms and monetising attributes guests value. In addition to introducing new, standardised inventory types, R2 includes new fields for group segmentation, and Simplified Chinese for UI labels. Release 2 is also building foundation for multi-segment reservations (full functionality will be turned on when eco-systems are ready).

IHG Javelin®

IHG Reporting

A central platform allowing hotel and corporate users globally to locate all business data via reports and dashboards. The tool streamlines the various channels used by hotels to locate reports and enables IHG to provide a more consistent corporate standard when it comes to the location, presentation and delivery of reports. Additionally the platform checks the user credentials to access the reports. Its also schedules the distribution of reports to users.

IHG RFP (Request for Proposal)

Powered by Lanyon, a web-based application designed for hotels to manage their content and rates for creating RFPs

for agencies and national corporate accounts.

Establishes a single hotel as an entity of itself within Guest Reservation System (GRS). Data to be moved includes reservations, groups and meetings information, blackout dates, sell strategies, etc.

The total number of rooms available to sell in the HOLIDEX® Plus system.

InterContinental Reservations Interface System

Web-based online reservation system that enables call centre agents at all global Central Reservations Offices (CRO's) to create, modify and cancel IHG hotel room reservations.

The ability to count a product, attribute or combination thereof.

Inventory

All products with any associated inventory items and attributes sold and/or inventoried at a specific hotel.

Inventory Committed

For each Product, the number of Inventory Types blocked for groups combined with the number of confirmed individual reservations in the Guest Reservation System (GRS).

Inventory Horizon

Defines the periods in which a hotel's inventory can be managed. This period will be equal to or greater than the Selling Horizon. There may be periods within the inventory horizon that are not available for sale. Within this horizon, Guest Reservation System (GRS) users are able to manage inventory and apply distinctions such as allocations for groups.

Inventory Item

A single instance of a specific room or non-room inventory type; a specific inventory item cannot be sold more than once for the same exact time period (e.g. room 101).

Structure holding, conditions of product, and conditions of group for inventory types.

Inventory Sold

For each Product, the number of Inventory Types currently sold.

Inventory Types

A combination of one product and some or all of its attributes. Inventory types will be used to map back to legacy room types. Applies to both sleeping room and non-sleeping room products. Each unique type is comprised of a combination of individual attributes. Example: Room 901 = GOOD + 1 KING + OCEAN VIEW + HIGH FLOOR + NON-SMOKING. Each combination of attributes will be assigned a unique code in the inventory catalog/matrix.

Inventory Type Code

An identifier for an inventory type (e.g. king, STD, non-smoking might be “KSN”). Inventory types will be used to map back to legacy room types and in early Guest Reservation System (GRS) versions, Inventory Types will map back to HOLIDEX® Room Types.

Inventory Type Price

Price assigned to a unique combination of a product and its attributes.

Itinerary

A record or outline chronicling the details of a reservation/purchase under one unique identifier.
