Updated HOD information is automatically sent to all third party Internet sites that are powered by a GDS.

Data that describes the traits of a hotel (e.g. configuration, facilities) which is managed in Hotel Content Manager (HCM) and distributed to channels by the Guest Reservation System (GRS).

Tool that acts behind the scenes to convert messages between the Central Reservations System (CRS), HOLIDEX® Plus, and the hotels’ Property Management Systems (PMS).

Gateway between IHG and the hotels' Property Management System (PMS). Each 2-way interface (between IHG and OPERA, Brilliant PMpro, Oasis and NEC) uses HMI's TPF messaging. This connection is provided to the hotels by IHG when HOLIDEX® is first connected with a 2-way interface; in some countries, this is via a dedicated dial-up connection, but more frequently is a dedicated line into the hotels.

A combination of hotel traits that together identify a hotel or group of hotels. Examples are brand, region and location type.

A type of business rule intended to affect all reservations and/or guests at a specific hotel by default. Generally these are created by IHG as a template and completed by a hotel.

Reservations for staff members staying at the hotel on business (eg. Duty Managers) or for people completing work at the hotel, on behalf of the hotel.

A restriction hotels can place on group bookings to prevent rooms being sold or modified through any channel other than directly with the hotel.
