The Central Reservation System (CRS) that was initially created by IBM specifically for Holiday Inn® hotels was called the HOLIDEX® system. In 2002 it was enhanced and upgraded as a new system and the name was changed to the HOLIDEX® Plus system. It is used by IHG for all brands, all regions, all hotels now. Hotel Messaging Service |
Gateway between IHG and the hotels' Property Management System (PMS). Each 2-way interface (between IHG and OPERA, Brilliant PMpro, Oasis and NEC) uses HMI's TPF messaging. This connection is provided to the hotels by IHG when HOLIDEX® is first connected with a 2-way interface; in some countries, this is via a dedicated dial-up connection, but more frequently is a dedicated line into the hotels.
