Extranet |
Some online travel agents (OTAs) still require the hotel to manage inventory through a managed website called an extranet. The OTAs like utilizing the extranets because extranets allow them control over the inventory and rate rules of their choosing. This method of managing inventory can be cumbersome at best and a nightmare at worst. It means having more than one image of your hotel’s inventory out on the electronic channels and can cause confusion for customers and pose a challenge to manage. A lot of the major chain hotels have demanded that they control inventory and rates through their proprietary CRS systems. |

Extra Person Charge |
