Central Reservation Office |

Channel Management |
The setup and maintenance of connections between the Guest Reservation System (GRS) and channels. Also, the act of controlling the allocation of hotel inventory and rates across all channels. |
Check-In |
The process and or point where the guest converts from pre-stay to active stay consumption. Acronym: C/In |
Check-Out |

Class Sharing |
Term used by the PERFORMSM system to indicate the selling of one class of room at a lower class price. |
Close to Arrival |
A room inventory control function that prevents reservations from arriving on a particular date. Reservations can include this date as long as the arrival date is different. Acronym: CTA |
Closed User Group Pricing |
A promotional rate that is exclusive to a specific set of people (e.g. Loyalty members) and not transferrable to others. Acronym: CUP |
Commission Override |
A commission over and above the normal base commission percentage sometimes called an overriding commission - it is negotiated with agents on the basis of their achieving agreed targets. |
Commission |
A fee charged by travel service providers in exchange for booking-related services. The commission amount may vary by provider and is typically paid after the guest pays for the stay. |

Community Model |

Complimentary |

Condition of Group |
Combination of Conditions of Sale and Conditions of Product rules that are unique to groups and affect group price and/or availability. Acronym: COG |
Condition of Product |

Condition of Sale Grouping |
Combination of multiple conditions of sale that create one condition of sale. For example, if you book 7+ days to arrival AND pre-pay 100% AND no refund policy then you get 13% discount. |

An indicator that specifies the type of corporate account. |
Corporate Gold |
A performance-based pricing programme offered to some of IHG’s managed accounts. The programme offers discounts ranging from 5% to 14.5% depending on the number of room nights consumed by the account.
